Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe - Awesome Cookies

Here's a yummy chocolate chip recipe for people who like their cookies gooey and chewy.
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Directions
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease cookie sheets or line with parchment paper.
- Using a sifter, sift the flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.
- In a medium bowl, cream together the melted butter, brown sugar, and white sugar; blend well. Beat in the vanilla, egg, and egg yolk until light and creamy. Add the sifted ingredients and mix just enough to blend.
- Using a wooden spoon, stir in the chocolate chips. Measure 1/4 cup of the cookie dough and drop one at a time onto the prepared cookie sheets. Space Cookies 3-inches apart on cookie sheet.
- Bake for 15 to 17 minutes, or until the edges are lightly toasted. Cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
