Edible Sugar Bowls

Make edible sugar bowls for ice cream and more with this easy-to-make recipe.


Supplies

  • Water
  • Granulated Sugar
  • Corn syrup

Instructions

  1. With soap and water, rinse a balloon.
  2. Fill the balloon with water to the size of a cereal bowl.
  3. Place the water balloon on top of a container that has a smaller diameter than the balloon.
  4. Pour ½ cup of water into a pot.
  5. Pour 1½ cup of sugar into a pot.
  6. Pour ½ cup of corn syrup.
  7. Stir the ingredients and set the heat on medium-high.
  8. Heat the ingredients to 300˚F/150˚C.
  9. Use a candy thermometer to measure the heat.
  10. Optional: add sprinkles or food coloring to the mixture.
