These ones don't spread when they bake...they are crisp and
a little flavorless...but great with frosting!
Ingredient :

These ones don't spread when they bake...they are crisp and
a little flavorless...but great with frosting!
Ingredient :
- 2 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for rolling
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Royal icing:
Instructions :
- 3 egg whites
- 2 cups of powdered sugar
- 1 drop of essential oil flavoring (I used citrus bliss)
- food coloring (I used black)
Instructions :
- Mix, separate into 2 balls...press into disks...and place in a ziploc bag
- and set in the fridge for 2 hours...or the freezer for about 20 minutes.
- Then remove, roll out on floured surface and bake 325 for about 12 minutes.
- Mix up some royal icing.
- This stuff is made with egg whites and not water...so it forms
- a crisp sweet glaze that dries hard and shiny. It is so fun to decorate with...
