Airfryer French Toast Sticks

In case you haven’t heard, I am in love with the Philips Airfryer. I just have to show you this fun Airfryer French Toast Sticks recipe I created. It takes French Toast to a new, crispy place… Thanks so much to Philips for introducing me to the Airfryer and for sponsoring this recipe post.

Last month, I told you about my love affair with the Philips Airfryer. And yes, our love is still going strong.

In that post, I shared with you my recipe for a crazy delicious “apple pie” creation I called Airfryer Apple Pie Filo Pastries

Those buttery, flaky triangles of perfection are enough reason to go buy an Airfryer in themselves. (For a healthier version, I have also made them with coconut oil instead of butter and they were delicious too.)

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 pieces of sliced bread - whatever kind and thickness desired
  • 2 Tbsp approximately of soft butter or margarine for buttering bread
  • 2 eggs gently beaten
  • salt
  • cinnamon
  • nutmeg
  • ground cloves
  • icing sugar and/or maple syrup for garnish and serving

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Preheat Airfryer to 180* Celsius
  • In a bowl, gently beat together two eggs, a sprinkle of salt, a few heavy shakes of cinnamon, and small pinches of both nutmeg and ground cloves
  • Butter both sides of bread slices and cut into strips
  • Dredge each strip in the egg mixture and arrange in Airfryer (you will have to cook in two batches)
  • After 2 minutes of cooking, pause the Airfryer, take out the pan, making sure you place the pan on a heat safe surface, and spray the bread with cooking spray
