OLD FASHIONED SNOWBALL COOKIES

Making these Old Fashioned Snowball Cookies is truly one of my fondest memories of my childhood Christmas traditions. I made these cookies with my mother each year and I felt like such a big girl rolling the dough into little balls with her.  I am loving carrying on the tradition with my daughter too.

Ingredients

• 1 cup of butter 2 sticks
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 2 tsp water
• 2 tsp vanilla
• 2 cups sifted all purpose flour
• 1 cup chopped pecans
• 1/2 cup Confectioner's Sugar

Instructions
DIRECTIONS

1. Cream the butter and sugar
2. Add water and vanilla.
3. Add flour and pecans and mix thoroughly.
4. Chill for 2 - 3 hours
5. Roll into 1 inch balls.
6. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 325 F for 20 minutes.
7. Cool slightly
